The 15 questions we hear most

How much does a helicopter tour in Barcelona cost?

Prices start at €94 per person for the 6-minute Barcelona Coast Tour, with shared flights up to €179 and private charters from €349. The exact price depends on the route and whether you book a shared seat or the whole helicopter for your group.

Where does the helicopter tour take off from in Barcelona?

All flights depart from the heliport at Paseo Escullera, next to Port Vell in central Barcelona, about a 10-minute drive from the city center. There's a passenger terminal on-site with Wi-Fi and a viewing terrace while you wait.

Is there a helicopter tour near me in central Barcelona?

Yes — the heliport sits right at the harbor edge of Port Vell, walkable from the Gothic Quarter and Barceloneta in around 15–20 minutes. It's easy to reach by taxi, rideshare, or a short metro ride plus a walk.

How long does a Barcelona helicopter flight actually last?

Flight time ranges from about 6 minutes on the Coast Tour up to 40 minutes on the Montserrat routes, with total experience time — including check-in and briefing — usually 25 to 60 minutes. Longer private tours naturally spend more time in the air.

Can I book a private helicopter just for my group?

Yes — the Coast & Besós, Coast & Montserrat, and Sky & Montserrat tours are all private charters for up to 3 or 5 passengers, priced per helicopter rather than per person. You get the whole aircraft and route to yourselves.

Do I need to bring anything special or get a free estimate before booking?

You just need a valid physical photo ID — a passport or national ID card — plus comfortable clothing; pricing is fixed and published, so there's no estimate needed, just pick your tour and book. We'll confirm your exact flight time with you personally the day before.

What happens if the weather is bad on my flight day?

Helicopter flights are weather-dependent, so if conditions aren't safe we'll reschedule or adjust your time slot rather than fly. You're contacted 24 hours ahead with your confirmed status, and our team works with you directly if anything changes.

Is there a weight limit for passengers on the helicopter?

Yes, each passenger can weigh up to 110 kilograms; if you're heavier than that we simply book a second seat for you, up to an absolute limit of 130 kilograms. This keeps the aircraft properly balanced and safe for everyone aboard.

Can children fly on the Barcelona helicopter tours?

Children are welcome on board as long as they're within the standard weight and safety guidelines, and every passenger — including kids — needs valid photo ID. It's a genuinely exciting first flight experience for younger passengers.

What will I actually see during the flight?

Depending on your tour you'll see Barcelona's beaches and Port Vell, landmarks like the Sagrada Família and Torre Glòries, Camp Nou, or the dramatic Montserrat mountain and monastery. Each route is mapped out in detail on its own tour page so you know exactly what's ahead.

How far in advance should I book my helicopter tour?

We recommend booking a few days ahead, especially in peak season, though same-day availability can sometimes work if slots are open. Once you book, we confirm your exact departure time about 24 hours before your flight.

Is check-in required before the flight, and how early should I arrive?

Yes, plan to arrive at the heliport terminal about 20 minutes before your scheduled departure. You'll show your ID, get your boarding details, pass a quick security check, and receive a short safety briefing before boarding.

Are the pilots and helicopters properly licensed and insured?

Every flight operates under AENA-regulated Spanish airspace rules with licensed commercial pilots and a maintained fleet that includes the Robinson R44 and Airbus AS355. Safety and regulatory compliance come first on every tour.

Can I book a helicopter transfer to a winery or beach club near Barcelona?

Yes — beyond the sightseeing tours, we arrange private helicopter transport to wineries, beach clubs, and landmarks around Catalonia on request. Get in touch and we'll put together a route and price for your plans.

How do I book, and can I message on WhatsApp instead of calling?

You can book directly through the form on any tour page, or simply message us on WhatsApp for a faster back-and-forth — most people prefer WhatsApp for quick questions and confirmations. Either way, a real person replies personally, not a bot.

More about booking with us

Changes, payment, groups and language

Can I change my booking date or tour after I've paid?

Yes — message us on WhatsApp or reply to your confirmation email and we'll move your date or swap your tour, subject to availability. There's no change fee if you give us at least 48 hours' notice before your original slot.

How do I pay for my helicopter tour?

You can pay securely online by card once your date is confirmed, or settle directly at the heliport terminal on the day for select tours — we'll confirm which applies when we get back to you. All prices shown are in euros and include the standard taxes.

Can you arrange a helicopter tour for a large group?

Yes — if your group is bigger than one helicopter can seat, we book two or more aircraft to fly together so everyone departs and lands at the same time. Send us your group size and we'll put together a plan and pricing.

Do the pilots and ground team speak English?

Every pilot and ground team member communicates comfortably in English, alongside Spanish and Catalan, so language is never a barrier at check-in, during the briefing, or in the air. Let us know in advance if your group needs another language and we'll do what we can.

Can I book a helicopter tour as a gift for someone else?

Yes — book under the recipient's name with your own contact details for the confirmation, or ask us about a gift voucher they can redeem on a date that suits them. It's a popular choice for birthdays, anniversaries and proposals.

Will I get photos or video from my flight?

The cabin and pilot's-eye views make for great photos straight from your own phone, and most tours allow a phone or small camera mount on request — just ask when you book. We don't run a professional photography add-on yet, so it's worth grabbing a shot of the skyline the moment you lift off.
